Founding Vision & Philosophy

Established in summer 2018 at Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Pinnacle Speedskating Program was born from a deep passion for short track speedskating and a mission to elevate the sport in the U.S.. The name “Pinnacle” embodies its unwavering commitment to guiding skaters toward their highest potential of athletic and personal excellence.

Pinnacle’s vision, combined with a pioneering blend of training resources, world class coaching, and professional operations, has driven us to emerge as a driving force in youth speed skating development across national and international landscapes.

A Global Perspective from Day One

Pinnacle stands apart as a truly international program, welcoming direct members from US Speedskating, local clubs, and countries worldwide. We believe that exchange fosters growth, which is why we actively provide pathways to challenging international training camps, competitions, and cultural exchange events globally that immerse athletes in diverse racing environments, enhancing adaptability and sportsmanship. Our athletes don’t just compete—they gain a global network of peers and mentors, preparing them to thrive on the world’s stages.

Train for Excellence, Pursue Beyond Medals

At Pinnacle, we believe sports education is about holistic growth:

World-Class Coaching & Training Philosophy

Led by coaches with international racing and coaching expertise, our programs integrate on-ice training, dryland, conditioning, and mental resilience development. Every session is tailored to the skater’s goals—whether enhancing technique or refining race strategies, our approach ensures athletes master both the skating ability and the tactical mindset needed to excel.

Legacy Building & Community Impact

Excellence extends beyond individual achievement. We emphasize passing passion and strength to the next generation through mentorships, creative initiatives, integration of knowledge , and targeted resource support. Our athletes learn to become ambassadors of the sport, whether by volunteering as coaches, sharing insights with rookies, or advocating for the sport’s growth in their communities. This creates a virtuous cycle that enriches the global speed skating community.

Character & Career Empowerment

Rigorous training is a classroom for life. Skaters develop resilience, discipline, and cultural awareness through competition and collaboration, skills that translate to academic, professional, and personal success. For those pursuing elite goals, we offer Olympic-aligned pathways and guidance. For others, we’ve helped families achieve targeted educational outcomes by balancing sport and academics, focus on leadership development and confidence-building, ensuring every athlete—regardless of ambition—leaves with tools to thrive on and off the ice.
